A-300 Pro : Configuring a button for "Edit undo" or "Ctr Z"

I am using the A-300 Pro midi controller with Sonar X1. I know how to reconfigure the buttons A1 - A8 on the controller, but I can't find an option to set one of them to the menu equivalent of "Edit undo" or the key board short cut "ctr Z". Is this possible ? What I am trying to do is to wipe the last recorded item using the midi controller, so that I don't have to resort to the keyboard on the PC. Any ideas ?

This has now been fixed so I'm updating this in case it helps others. The root cause was that the A1 to A8 pads on the APro 300 Midi controller were not functioning properly without the Sonar patch X1d installed. Please note that this was resolved by Roland UK staff and the Cakewalk Tech support was a disgrace. ( Case 42959 has remained unresolved since the 20th September )
