A500s toasted?

Hello all,

It seems that my less than a year old a500s is destined for the trash.

I've attempted re-installing the driver multiple times with the following results in no particular order:

The letter P showing in the Data Out part of the display.
The letter P showing in all 3 parts of the display.
The numbers 5, 0, 0, followed by the letter P in all 3 parts of the display.
A solid letter A in the Data Out field, followed by wildly flashing numbers 5, 0, 0, in all parts of the display. This then followed by a dimly lit number 1 in the Utility field.
Nothing.
Nothing for a very long time, then a randon letter or number, and then nothing.
Something that looked a bit like Satan in the data out field.
Shutting off after being turned on.

I have tried different USB ports and cables to no positive result.

It was working fine last night, then it seemed to have gone to sleep (dimly lit number 1) and then it disconnected completely.....and that was it.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

    Worth trying a firmware update/install?

Sounds like it might be terminal though? If it's under a year old it should be in warranty though so a replacement/free fix would be the way to go.
