AAMS reply to M_Glenn_M - PLEASE READ M_Glenn_M !

I do not have permission to reply by PM's yet, and I could not locate an email address, so I will answer your questions here...I hope that this is all right...

I downloaded it and sometimes it works fairly quickly (on auto on wav files) and other times I wait all night and it still is going. What is your experience?

It has done this for me since the .x beta days, and I don't have a clue why. After you use it for awhile you will know what an average span of time is for it to do it's job, so if it goes longer just end the program and restart it. Most of the time it will then work normally.

Can you audition the various templates reference songs somewhere? How do you know they are how you would like your source file to be?

I have not really found a place the demo all the presets using just a single track, but it WAS something I did a few years back for my old site, using 5 or 7 of the pre-sets. The differences are slight, but are there.

What I use the most is the Master, Modern, Rock Voodoo, & Pop for most of the stuff I do, which ranges from Folk Rock to Smooth Jazz type of stuff.

Give me a few hours & I will do up a piece of a track using these to show what they can do to the sound.

The REAL advantage of this software is the analyzer read-out of the stereo track. Using it you can see WHAT is too hot, too low, etc within the frequency range and then go back & make adjustments at the mix level, something that is ALWAYS more desirable IMHO.

I hope this helps, and I will get a few tracks up & post the link back here in a few....

OK, here is a track I use a lot for explaining various techniques for friends. It is used by permission of Ben Harris, who uses it in one of his ...Thanks Ben!!

The mix is 44.1/16, and 1:24 in length.

This version of the mix is edited & balanced, no EQ, Compressor, Reverb, etc. This way you can here what AAMS is doing.

The First One is the Original Track. For the rest, the name at the end is what Reference File was used.

    Hope this helps !
