AAS Lounge Lizard 4 is going NKS

From AAS:
We’re writing to let you know that the Lounge Lizard EP-4 v4.1.1 update has been re-released to include support files for Native Instrument's NKS format. You’ll find what has changed as well as a link to the latest installers below.

PLEASE NOTE—If you are already running Lounge Lizard EP-4 v4.1.1 and you don't have a KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series keyboards or MASCHINE hardware, you don't need to re-install this update. Else, this update is recommended for all users on all platforms.

I hope they do Ultra Analogue as well.

If they make all of their VIs NKS-ready, I'd be hard-pressed to not bump an S88 to the top of my hardware wish list (well, second from the top; I have some serious GAS right now for a Blackstar HT-1R 1 watt tube amp with reverb).

Check it out before buying. I found the S88 rather clunky, but love my S49 (or that S61).
Edith quotes AAS on NKS: "We are currently working to make our different instruments compatible with the NKS format and Lounge Lizard EP-4 is the first one to be ready,” says Eric Thibeault, marketing director at Applied Acoustics Systems. “We are very excited with this new NKS version as it provides a deep integration of software and hardware leading, ultimately, to a more natural and fulfilling musical experience.”

    ...

I'll do that, but, dagnabit, I want an 88-key keyboard. I use the Octave +/- keys on my P6 all the time to access keyswitches in the C0 octave...and then forget that I've done that.

I have seen some negative comments on the S88 keybed, but perhaps the good news in this is that by the time I've put a spare $1K together, NI may have released S88 Mk II. Riiiiight.

next thing you know I'll be breaking down and getting the S61...Been resisting for a while, but using a 49 key line 6 is not as good for the keyswitches. I already have an 88 key controller as well in the studio. Someday, perhaps, I'm waiting (hoping) for a sale on the S61. I am a dedicated Lounge Lizard EP-4 user and also love Ultra Analog VA as well.

Agreed! I'm confident they'll do that. AAS is great.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

It would be a big improvement over the 61 for those of us who want synth type keys.

I have a AKAI LPK25 mini keyboard setup on the left of my S61 for key switches as a workaround.

Or even better - 76 keys. A Komplete Kontrol S76 would be hard to resist. I think that's the optimal keyboard size if you've got two hands and living space is an issue.

If one has a programmable drum pad you can use that for your key switches.  I have an old 49 key Evolution keyboard controller but I use my Akai MPD 18 drum pads for the key switches.

The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better.
