ASS stuff sounds great. But I don't like their guitar. I prefer real guitar, even though I liked Virtual Guitarist, but it's no longer on sale.

AAS has been around Cakewalk for quite a while,,, I got Tassman 4 from an upgrade with Sonar 3,,, IIRC,,, I just upgraded to Lounge Lizard EP-4 and it's amazing. I always hate to say something is the best, because I know I haven't tried EVERYTHING on the market,,, but it's the Best Electric Piano by far that I've played. It's got the Wurlitzer stabs of Supertramp and the ringing tines of the Rhodes so sweetly,,,, it's total ear candy. I love it! It's like I have the real thing, only better,,, ;)

+ 1 to that. Lounge lizard 4 is more expressive than any sampled EP I had heard.

Lucky ! I just listened to the demo yesterday having received a half-off promo from AAS. I agree it sounds fantastic. I'm hoping I can get somewhere similar with my Cakewalk synths...

I bought Strum Acoustic Sessions in June inly to see it turn up 'free' in the X3 package. Now I am looking at the Full Package up upgrade for X3 users. I got hesitant seeing from the AAS website the Full Collection includes VA-2 and Lounge Lizard new version, but the update from Cakewalk says it is Ultra Analog VA-1.

If you can't stretch to Chromaphone but you have Native Instruments Komplete then check to see if you have Prism (can't remember if it's in Ultimate or not). It runs in Reaktor and is a similar sort of thing. In fact it's one of the most interesting and incredible sounding synths I've ever come across. I just wish I understood the bloody thing...and I wish Groove3 would do a tutorial.

That's a nice little overview...I guess I should read the manual but I quickly get lost reading synth manuals, especially for something as complicated as Prism.
