The Swedes, unlike the unsophisticated American fans of the day, were quick to realize that ABBA is just BAAB spelled inside out.

Because the cool thing of the day was singer/songwriters with socialist lyrics. ABBA was for behind closed doors. Them and The Bee Gees. It also didn't help that ABBA is also the name of a compay that makes canned heering.

    I agree.
    Come on Switzerland.
    More ABBA - less SAAB.
And apparently it wouldn't hurt to expand your vocabulary a little while you're at it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it ABBA's drummer who had some issue with a whole lot of glass and lying down in his garden not so long ago?

If so, since he's the closest I know of, I vote Bouy head on over and get the ball rolling.

SAAB went bust, and what's left of the company was bought by a Chinese company that makes electric cars. I guess Europe is very confusing to some.

Mike ... I think you're mixing up your geography (i.e., Sweden vs. Switzerland) ... or was that intentional?  Well in any event, if I am not mistaken, Phil Collins lives in Switzerland and he was at least able to master three letters (he/they made it to C).

Nope, not intentional at all. It was just a long draining day.
A good friend of mine (guitar player) passed away last week and I spent about 16 hours going through all our little bits and pieces and random song/lyric recordings.

Plenty of material to put together a few songs. I'm going to have everyone that had the privilege to play with him, come in and jam with him one last time.
Then I'll put it together as a tribute CD and give everyone involved a copy.

The best part is that he was such a good guitar player/singer that he usually nailed it in the first take or two.
But being a guitar player/singer it was always "Wait, just one more take".
Well Dave my friend......... It's MY call now. Muhahahahahaha.
