ACT limitations

is act limited to 1 slider 1 rotary and 1 button?

If so, how does act work with things like Mackie C4?

if not, how do I add rows?

No ACT will work however you set it up. I don't use it with a C4 but do with other surfaces. Is there not a preset listed for you surface?

I am a little confused by what you mean with "if not, how do I add rows"? The rows are already in the ACT properties dialogue. In the basic "ACT MIDI Controller" you should already see 4 rows in 8 columns which by default are labelled "R1 thru R8", "S1 thru S8" "Shift + B1 thru Shift+B8" & "B1 thru B8"

A little more clearer info on what you mean will help.

There are 4 banks of each row in the ACT MIDI Controller dialogue, so you could have up to 4 rows of buttons, each button can be shifted which is also included in the banks.

You may need to leave a couple of the buttons on each bank excluded from ACT to allow you to assign them to button bank change though, but even then that allows you 14 x 4 = 56 buttons. How many do you need?!?

That's the same for sliders and rotaries as well.

FBB - just for explanation - ACT doesn't allow to use more than 16 controllers at once, moreover default mappings sucks, so buying controller which has more than 16 knobs/buttons in total for SONAR has no sense. For now I'm trying to USE BCR2000 as TWO ACT controllers, to don't loose all the functionality of BCR. It's sick!!!!!
