AD2 Producer....Which 3 paks to select ?
Wish list would be to cover these genre's. Ambient(NewAge), Latin, Country. Went over to XLN got everything activated, but did not download any of the new goodies. Based on my wishes to nail right Paks. My trusty PC is downloading Platinum as I type. Servers somewhere are probably smoking... Thank you in Advance

For Latin I guess the Session Percussion pack is the obvious choice. Dim Pro also has some decent percussion included in case you've not noticed it.
Ambient(ish) really depends on what you already have. Reel Drums covers electronic sounds, but a "proper" drum synthesiser, hardware or software, would provide much more flexibility. I mostly use an Elektron Machinedrum for electronic/synth drum sounds plus program patches in other synths once in a while. Some of the recent Korg analogue stuff sounds pretty good and has a very good price point. In the box there are quite a number of x0x-alike drum plugins and a few wild cards like Waldorf's drum synth.
Country? The Pop Kit perhaps? Vintage Dry?
Sonar Platinum 64bit, Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit, I7 3770K Ivybridge, 16GB Ram, Gigabyte Z77-D3H m/board, ATI 7750 graphics+ 1GB RAM, 2xIntel 520 series 220GB SSDs, 1 TB Samsung F3 + 1 TB WD HDDs, Seasonic fanless 460W psu, RME Fireface UFX, Focusrite Octopre. The Session Percussion is your Latin choice. twl is steering you in the right direction, I think. I might do Fairfax 2 instead of Vintage dry but you won't make a bad choice with these.

As far as the electronic/new age sounds, keep in mind that there are a lot of effects in there that can make your drums sound quite electronic. Despite the names, Studio -Pop, -Rock, and -Prog cover a lot of ground. Of these, I think -Pop might be the best choice, as it has one Latin preset to cover Latin drum kit sounds. Fairfax 2 would also be a good choice. It seems like it would be good for modern folk rock, country, and indie rock. Vintage Dry is mostly 70s. It's good for disco, Steely Dan, soft rock, folk rock stuff.

Go to this page ( http://www.xlnaudio.com/addictivedrums/) and scroll down to the AdPaks/MIDIPaks/Kit Pieces, click on each one individually and again scroll down... You can find playable demos. I found the ones labeled "Presets Playthrough" the most helpful.

I ended up selecting Session Percussion, recommendation and demo sounds. Also got FairFax Vol2, recommendation and demo sounds. then went astray got Vintage Dry, demo sounds. When I was working with downloads a Fairfax 1 screen had appearred with get it free. Was tied up a bit, so did not jump on it. Maybe just a sales thingy. Appreciate the input folks, Thank you!

I got Fairfax 2, Indie, and Blue Oyster. I spent a LOT of time listening to demos/examples and paid no attention to the names.

I too listened to the demos and ended up getting the Funk, Black Velvet, and Metal AdPaks. I do not like metal music...just isn't my kind of music, but I liked the sound of the kit pieces. All three of the Paks that I chose was strictly from listening to the demos and had nothing to do with the names. Personally, I was not impressed with the Session Percussion based on the demo. So I decided to stick with the Latin Percussion I use in Superior Drummer 2 for any Latin percussion I need.
