AD2 Standard Drum map

Is there any place I can get a chart that shows the AD2 standard midi note mappings? There are two ways to go with edrums and maps. You can change AD2 to respond to the notes your edrum sends out or you can change the notes the edrum sends out to match the standard AD2 mappings.

I previously have used the "learn" function of AD2 to map AD2 to the notes my edrum sends out. However, if I send drum pieces to someone else for use, I also have to send my drum map to them so they can match up the pieces. Then they also have a hard time mixing/matching some of my drum beats/fills with standard ones that come with AD2.

So, I would like to change all the mappings in my edrum to match the AD2 standard map. That way I can play and record drums parts and the maps just work for triggering AD2. I can go to the map window in AD2 and click each drum and see the note mapping. However, that is very tedious, so I thought there might be a chart listing somewhere of the drum to note mappings but it's not in the manual and I am unable to find it with an internet search.

Anyone know where I can get such a thing? It would be a lot easier to print out a chart and then sit and go through each note assignment in my edrum, marking off each one as I change it.

thanks, gbow

I believe there is a pdf manual in the install directory that has it.  I think you can also go into one of the screens where you can define the drum map in AD2 to get the defaults.  Not at my DAW right now so can't give you better instructions, sorry.

I did this for AD1 when I upgraded to X3  when it came out.

Interesting, I don't find that pdf anywhere on my pc. Might it be something that came with AD1 and wasn't included with AD2? I did a clean install of X3e and don't have all the leftover parts of previous versions.

I also found pdf manuals of AD2 online, but none of them had this information. I'll go search for the AD1 manuals and see if they have them.

Thanks, gbow

If you click on the ? in AD2, you'll see a menu that includes drum map. It show the mapping defined by the selected preset, and allows you to select different maps for different drum machines. Also allows you to create your own custom map. The AD2 Standard in included in the presets.

There is an article on the Cakewalk blog that might be helpful for you. I'm not sure if I can post links but it is titled: DRUM MAPS FOR ADDICTIVE DRUMS 2 IN SONAR

Thanks for all the help everyone. I got the map thanks, to the link from stickman393. Thanks for the blog link as well, that wasn't what I needed but it was useful for other things.
