AMD chip?

Which AMD chip can match the performance of an Intel i7 chip?

    Hey Scott have you had a chance to 'officially' bench mark those yet?  I am curious how they stack up against the Phenoms and the I5's

    I guess I'll go Intel.
    I'm on a tight budget right now, so I'm considering an i5. 
    What CPU speed would you recommend for Sonar X1?
    ...also doing video scoring with X1.

    have one in hand should get to it in a fwe days based on the benchies i have sen on the interweb they cant touch Intel
      also have a few of the new intel chips we have been testing

        Is this the Ivry Bridge?  (I think that was the name).  Are those supposed to upgrade the Sandy Bridge?

    no Sandy Bridge E (socket 2011)
    the big brother to Sandy Bridge 1155
    Ivy for socket 1155 is due out in 1st 1/4 2012 followed by Ivy Socket 2011 2 quarters later
