    Nothing wrong with this. You have made some really good choices here. The minimalist drums, the absence of bass guitar really give the emotions of the lyrics some space.
     
    Nothing wrong with a twinge of sadness now and again!

    Excellent all the way around!  The lyrics are excellent and the emotions presented, in the vocals, really deliver the message well.  I agree that the minimal use of instrumentation really complements the song well.

    The dreaminess of the ep + guitar is great... such vibe.    The only thing that thew me a bit off was that the timing of the drums didn't seem in sync with the music here and there.
     
    But on the flip side the lyrics plus your vocal delivery reminded me a lot of Paul Simon.   So there is that.
