[ANSWERED (sort of)] Group Naming Weirdness...

Just getting into groups... Never had (or bothered) to use them before.

I want to give my new groups a meaningful name rather than just leave them as A, B, C etc.

I'm wondering why I am getting this:-

Nova Pt1 Mute爚翽

I type in "Nova Pt1 Mute" and when I click on OK it ends up with some additional text at the end (is it Chinese or something??).

I can mess with the name until the additional text goes, but why does it appear at all?

Strange...

If you think that's weird, check this out...

I couldn't duplicate in Platinum, so out of curiosity I copied the characters into Google translate, which recognized them as Chinese characters. The translation is:

    "Lurid noise of bird's wings"

Now, anyone who comes to this forum knows that sometimes I like to kid around, but not this time...try it for yourself.

The only thing I can think of is everyone's a critic...maybe even Chinese computer components. If I try to enter a group name and get:

    Group1 Guitar 這是沒有天國的階梯

    I'm going to flip out.

    LOL! Craig!

I'm glad it's not just me haha!

I hadn't thought of putting the text into google translate

Do you think it's worth fixing?

This has been a bug for a LOOONG time. I troubleshot it down to happening if you use more than a certain number of character in the group name. Something like 8 or 10 characters.

    FWIW, I tried something earlier...

I used underscores instead of spaces and it "appears" to have sorted the problem. Every now and then, those strange characters still appear, but I've found that when you return to "attributes" and delete those characters, they stay deleted this time.
