ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A TOUCH SCREEN

After listening to Craig talk about touch screens, and since Sonar Platinum is touch enabled, I'm considering getting a touch enabled screen as a secondary screen, say a 22" or 24" (due to cost).  Does anybody have any recommendations for a possible candidate(s)? I'm completely new to this technology.

Thanks

I went down this route and wound up with the ACER 27 inch touch screen (10 touch points). It works great (I also got a 23 inch touch for dual monitors).  The 23 inch screen was just too small to be precise.

I am now only using the 27 inch model and I love it. (I have another 4K 27 inch NON touch screen as my second monitor).  I put the console on the touch and track mode on the NON touch.

I think I paid about $399 for the 27 incher (best buy Holiday sale).  You can still pick one up NEW for under $500.

It took me a long time to abandon the MOUSE on the console mode but after a few months, all is well.

Thanks, Jim.  I was hoping to spend a little less, but I may have to cough it up if I want to go the touch screen route.

You may want to peek at this website.  It lists 5 'top' picks, but I would be wary of that statement.  There are certainly other touch screens that may be 'topper' than top or fit your needs far better. However, it does point out a few things you might want to become  interested in.  The stand and how it can manage angles\bear weight, brightness, contrast, connectivity options, touch response...  It will give you a few ideas to think through...

LL,
Thanks for the link.  Yeah, I know what you mean about the Top 10 Review/Lists as they have a lot of them for software as well and I always wonder if they are presented with an ulterior motive, such as the top product creates and pays for the reviews.  Still, it is very useful and I am checking the site out.

I'd agree that the larger and more resolution is the way to go.  I have a 23" Acer and rarely use the touch capability because there just isn't enough real estate.

I've got a 27" I was going to post on eBay if you want to talk about it... I tried and went back to Mackie so it's just been sitting unused on a desk. It's an Acer...

Larger is probably better for a PC.  I have a 15" touch screen laptop and its too small to accurately use.  My big fingers hit the wrong area a lot of the time.  I have shelved the touch screen unless I were to get a large screen.

I have an iPad and I don't seem to have problems with the touch on it.  Screen resolution probably has something to do with it.

I like my touch screen. I'm most likely to use touch while practicing or recording.

When mixing, I mainly use the mouse.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

I got the 23" Viewsonic TD2340. I had it side by side with an Acer 23" and The Viewsonic was a bit better.
I made a custom stand for it so the QWERTY keyboard can slide under it. I have it upside down so the cables run away from me. I have it laying on the desk at 15 degrees up.
