ART Pro VLA II Tube Compressor with Sonar x3 Producer Question

Good morning everyone from Memphis, TN.  I just purchased a ART Pro VLA II Tube Compressor from Sweetwater (Should be here tomorrow)  and I needed some advice on how to not only hook this up (I'm sure this is a no brainer) but how to use it PROPERLY within Sonar X3 producer.

I am currently using a Focusrite Saffire Pro224 DSP Audio Interface with a Focusrite OctoPre Mk II attached.  Does anyone out there have experience with this through Sonar?  I am a noob but I hope I can get this up an running as son as I can.  I cannot thank you enough for your assistance and if I did not give you enough info to assist, please feel free to ask.

Thank you so much in advance,

If you're talking about using it on the front end to compress/limit live inputs before they get recorded, you'll just insert it between the preamp and the interface and you're done.

If you're talking about processing existing tracks:

    - Give the compressor it's own stereo I/O loop on the interface.
    - Right-click the FX bin of a track, choose External Insert
    - Set the I/O accordingly, and click the Delay button to have SONAR calculate the latency (or it will do it automatically the first time you start playback).
    - To render the compression to an existing track, you have to bounce with Fast Bounce disabled so the external gear can process the audio in real time.
