ASUS MOB BIOS UTILITY

Good Day,

Im wondering if anyone familiar ASUS's UEFI BIOS Utility could help me out? Im not a computer guru by any means (or any kind of guru, LOL)
Im using an ASUS X99 series motherboard (with Intel X99 i7 5820 6 CORE CPU), when opening BIOS,  the EZ Tuning Wizard options allows choosing between Daily Computing and Gaming/Media Edit.
Currently Im on Daily Computing mode, would the Gaming/Media Edit be a better option for running SPLAT or in any case?
It estimates a a 17% better CPU and better DRAM performance, but warns before accepting change that system may become unstable. (although says to revert to default if so)
Thought I would check before changing any BIOS settings, if anyone has experience with this and has any advice?

Cheers

I have an ASUS ROG Maximus III Hero (Z170) motherboard.  It has various tweaking capabilities.  I don't use those as I'm not a gamer and I don't overclock (although with an i7 6700K I could).  I'm using probably the equivalent to the "Daily Computing Mode" on your system and Sonar Platinum runs fine.  I suspect that is similar to the "Gaming" option in Windows 10, which Sonar has advised not to use as "Your DAW is not a game".

Thanks for reply, I saw that post, albeit Im still using Win7, but same may apply, Im not a gamer either, I guess what caught my attention in BIOS setting was it also referred to Media Editing (along with Gaming reference), if they were separate I may have tried, I guess also, if its not broke dont fix it, may apply, LOL. as I don t really have computer performance issues with Sonar.

My board is much older, but there is little advantage to shift from normal mode to higher clocks. As this happens, heat goes up which degrades longevity and throws page faults. LatencyMon shows these readily. I ended up using XMP at 103%, which is only a small amount from normal. It has sat there for 5 years now.
