It might help quite a bit if you post your software and hardware specs. Do you get a "Dropout" indicator at the bottom of the screen? Does it always happen at the same point in the song? Does it happen with every project? What plugins, if any are you using?

Thanx, I'm using sonar 4, my interface is Mobile Pre USB by M-Audio, i'm using 2 channels one for vox and one for guitar direct. I never noticed a dropout indicator. and this is my first project. I am just trying things out.

Did you buy it or is a cracked version? Sounds like you might have a bad copy.

Have you trierd adjusting your buffer/ latency settings?
It seems odd that the 'dropout' indicater doesn't show when you experience them.

I never noticed a dropout indicator.

At the bottom of the Sonar screen, it shines in bright red when there's a dropout. Maybe you have another open window on top of it?

First, go into OPTIONS -> AUDIO -> Advanced.
Increase the i/o buffer to 256.
THen check your latency setting. Try to set it around 10 ms for starters.

    See if that helps.

You said you bought it at Guitar Center, so you have a manual. May I suggest you read up on Loop/Punch ? I think it will answer your questions nicely then.
