AUDIOFIRE PRE8 PROBLEMS with SONAR X1 HELP!!

Can anyone help.  It seems I can record okay with my AudioFire pre8 interface, but the playback is all glitchy.  Whether ASIO, WDM, or MME playback driver mode.  Anyone have similar problems?  KNow how to fix?

I have WINDOWS 7
Sonar X1
HP Elitebook 8560p

THanks!

It could be latency issues - try raising your latency slider in WDM mode or in buffers in ASIO mode-

Also, I just had pops in click during playback on my interface. uninstalling and reinstalling drivers solved that.

Well, I did update to 5.7, and I adjusted some of the buffers and firewire settings on my comp (called audiofire they were helpful) and the playback and recording seems okay now (except the clipping is a bit harsh sounding, still trying to figure that out).

NOw I have a new problem.  When I mix down a track and it sounds great through SOnar, I export it to a wave file, and the wave file sounds like garbage.  Anyone else experience this?
