Alex ,
I own an acer (t-180), so maybe a few things might help. Different spec ofcourse. it worked out cheaper for me to buy the pc and mod a few parts than buy separate parts. (I have built loads of pc's over the years)
the case itself, I wanted to add another fan on the front. I had to take a hacksaw and cut a bit off the case to fit one, it's hidden behind a grey front, so that made no odds to me. The mounts for the fan were there, just the way the plastic front were mounted was a pain.
The PSU wasn't up to the task either, they fitted it with a lower rated one. I upped that to a 600 watt one, which might be needed in your case. if you add additional components.
The onboard graphics/sound card again weren't up to my spec. So got an additional graphics card (to support 2 monitors), I had the sound card for pro audio out of my other machine anyway.
memory wise, mine came with 1gb, I boosted that to 3gb, added an additional hard drive for audio (which is a must really)
Mine shipped with XP media centre/center, again not so great for pro audio use. I have vista premium upgrade (that was a bit of a nightmare, due to no "disk shrink" util being included)
The market for pre-made pc's now is dirt cheap compared to years ago, if you can compare prices of pre-built and ones you build, would be a good.
