Acoustic guitar ?

So you have your room set up and think you have it tuned up for sound.

Then ya' hang a few acoustic guitars on the wall.

Now when your mixing do you run into probs kinda like having a drum kit in the same room with the resonator heads installed and listening at louder levels while mixing creating unwanted noises, resonations while working.

Outside of removing them from the room, what have ya tried ?

So what do you do with your guitar stands then if they haven't got pictures in like mine?

Take some pieces of fabric or sponge and slide them under the strings at the bridge and neck.

If it is just the snare resonating turn it upside down and put towel over the trap. If it is all the other drums too put towels on all the heads. This won't stop the bottom heads from vibrating but it should reduce the noise significantly. Cheers.

Hopefully they're not printed on high bright high gloss paper. It's reflective properties could make your sound waves bounce around.

Maybe I'm just obsessive-compulsive, but I've actually taken that into consideration. Flat decorations actually help diffusion by compensating for the high frequencies that absorptive panels are overly-efficient at sucking up. Similar to the concept of leaving the paper facing on fiberglass when building bass traps.

I thought Jonbouy frowns on that recording technique?

Like my fav lines from A Mighty Wind

Leonard Crabbe: I'm a model train enthusiast.
Amber Cole: Oh! That's great! [chuckles]
Leonard Crabbe: Yes... sort of a whole layout in my basement. Very much a big passion for me, 'tis.
Amber Cole: Yeah. Thank God for model trains.
    Leonard Crabbe: Oh, absolutely.
Amber Cole: You know, if they didn't have the model train, they wouldn't have gotten the idea for the big trains.

It's amazing what you can do with tin foil. Which string did you want to drone atmosphere?
