Went there to listen and asked myself, "what am I looking for?", didn't know so I left.

I would say you are off to a pretty good start. There are times when the vox went a bit off, but that can be fixed up easy enough with v-vocal or melodyne. Its hard to critique the mix when posted on Myspace as the sound quality is a tad low, but I like what I hear. You have used some nice FX to good... er... effect.

    Cheers

I checked out all 6 songs in the player...very nice stuff! My Warning Signs is my favorite. I hope you were talking about those...they rock!

Jon, Nice job recording these for Jodie. He's gotta love 'em. Wouldn't It Be Great is what auto played first so that's the one I listened to the whole thing, then just listened to parts of the others. The rest all sounded really clean and tight, except for My Warning Signs that I didn't think was mixed or produced very well. It was not as crystal clear as the others. You did yourself and your friend proud.

ahhh i completely forgot about posting this but cheers for the comments guys :)

the tracks were on the music player on the myspace page

i recorded all the tracks this time round apart from warning signs which was done in my old house in a really bad (crampt) setup. I realise myspace isn't the best format for posting tracks for critique but I didn't feel it was my place to post my friends music up elsewhere without his consent. I'll try find a better place to put the music online (that doesn't compress it as much and repost the link)

    thanks again :)

I liked Ticket to the stars...nice wide stereo guitar...confrontation was nice...I'd like to hear it worked up with more instrumentation......

You're on the right track...keep going.
