"Activation Failed?"

Hello,

Would anyone know why I'm getting this?

"Activation Failed Sonar will switch to demo mode in 13 days"

I've had No resent Windows Update, when it asks for a file there's no file that I can see, though I have all the registration Serial Numbers and product codes. (i've been with Sonar since 8.0) everything is up to date.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thank You.

Hi. Are you using CCC, or installing offline? Did you pay up front, or use the monthly payment plan? Which version are you on?
Best of luck.

Either I understand it wrong or you no longer "a member" then. The message comes from "Monthly payment" plan Sonar (upfront does not check every month) and once authorization is not possible, it reverts to demo.

Hello Bristol,

I thought the same at first, but the term "Demo" seems like such a "Lower Class" than Premium Software, and there is no information to state otherwise.

Thanks for the clarification.

Hi azslow3,

Thank You for the information, the verbiage is new to me and I didn't want to assume. I'm really just taking a break I probable have around 10k in software (crazy I know!) I love Sonar so far and I'm not looking for a new DAW.

Did you make 12 payments, if you are paying monthly you need to make all twelve to completely own the software.

The new plan did not start until January.

Cancelling after eleven months will result in the software reverting to demo mode.

If you fail to complete the initial 12 months of payments, the program will revert to demo mode and will require an additional 12 consecutive monthly payments or a single payment in full to receive a license for the software. All the payments made to date will not count toward purchase of the license. See the Purchase & Upgrade section of http://www.cakewalk.com/P.../SONAR/SONAR-FAQ#start
