Actual cut-off date for Pre-Order X2?

Anyone?

- if I can successfully juggle the X2 pre-order date with my credit card statement cut-off date I'll be glad :-)

Thanks

Dave

All I know is that Cake sent an Email yesterday saying that the Pre-sale was "ending soon".  They also said that X2 would be released "Before end of September".

What you make of that is another matter..

They also said the buy X1 get X2 free offer would run until the end of Oct, then pulled it on 5th Sept, so take nothing for granted.

They didn't pull the X2 free upgrade offer. They stopped carrying X1 in the Cakewalk store and started selling X2 pre-sale. If you buy X1 elsewhere and register it before October 31 then you still get the free upgrade.

Also, apparently many places are selling off old X1 stock for $300 so the people doing it that way are saving $200. If Cakewalk is still honoring the Suite upgrades (I don't know if they are) then they are saving $300. Half off what I paid for X1/X2 Suite in the spring.

And something for everyone to consider is the DSF Strings freebie is being included for those who hopped onto the X1 to X2 upgrade however THAT is only for pre-sale customers so if you don't buy/register X1 before they release X2 you will probably not get the free strings even though the free upgrade to X2 is available until Oct 31. Confusing? Yes. Unfair? Not by a long shot.
