Right-click in a track's effects (FX) bin, either audio or MIDI, and select the effect you want to try. If you don't like it, right-click it again and select delete then try another one.

If you recorded a guitar using audio and want to say change the sound of the guitar, you can check out some of these amazing plugins that I suggest.
Guitar Rig 4
http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/products/guitar/guitar-rig-4-pro/
Amplitube
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/amplitube/features/
and to add an fx in track view just right click the fx bin on the guitar track and choose audio and then if you have either guitar rig or ampliube click that. otherwise if it is just a simple delay/reverb your adding there are some already built in with sonar.

A lot of people are afraid of heights. Not me, I'm afraid of widths.
