These notes are great Jimmy...Thanks.
This is another good song but it's not sure of itself yet...to my earz.
Bass is not loud enough where i'm sitting and there is too much going on in a few spots...nothing a few listens and minor decisions can't cure.

I agree with these comments. Sounds like a jam, not a composition. The bass is definitely too low in the mix.

Best,

well blow me down
my chord progreesion is still messed up

let me just say this

your second measure is a C chord (first two beets)
or did i mean carrots :)

the bass is playing a G

jimmy

Ah, that I am ;) I was doing that on purpose actually, because it does fit. I made a compromise I slide to G and then head to C for the main duration. So G is a fill. Then after C, I got to G again ;) Sounds better ;) Without the fill G, it doesn't fill the rest of the line, so the G sort of has to stay actually, but yeah, C is the main note now!

I'm going through the bass and fixing all the notes. I also changed the synth to one that sounded better when it's volume was brought up with the rest of the mix - like without that stupid "Bass boost" on.

Thanks Jimmy!

Okay, I uploaded a new mix to:
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7173778

It incorporates a lot of changes to the bass notes, the bass mixing, the bass tone, etc. Suggestions on that, and other things that might have been affected as a result of the bass are totally welcome. Thanks guys, and especially Jimmy for all the detailed feedback!

Very nice indeed! Obviously the acoustic is the focus, but maybe if you find a way to make the drum peek thru a little more it will propel the song more? I really like the change at 35 sec, but maybe with a bit more emphasis.

Enjoyed and thanks!
