I took one once. I looked like I'd seen set on fire and put out with an axe. Never did it again.

I guess that makes me anti-social, maybe a psychopath. I have posted the selfie to the left of this box hundreds of times. Note that I have also enhanced the image to remove the most ugly parts of the face.

My brother drove me so mad with his relentless Facebook selfies that I unfriended him. It was a new one every day, and you could tell he'd gone to the trouble of choosing the best light and angle to flatter him. I bet he takes 100 reject selfies before deciding on a Facebook-worthy one.
It came to a head when he posted a photo of himself lying on a sun lounger on the beach looking cool. In the background was his teenage daughter caught in a very unflattering pose. I know she'd be mortified to see this photo of herself, Yet my brother posted it on Facebook because it flattered him. I couldn't take it any longer and deleted him.

Yep, I believe it. People who are so vain as to relentlessly take photos of themselves and post them online ceaselessly have major personality disorders. The sad thing is that instead of being subjected to ridicule the rest of the world has grown indifferent and chooses to ignore it. Sort of like how we became conditioned to television ads. Somehow it has become expected for us to not only tolerate, but explicitly accept and even praise idiotic attention-seeking behaviour.
