Addictive Drums 2 Crackling Noise.. Am I the only one experiencing it?

Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still sporadic crackling noise. No issue in Session Drummer, Addictive Drums 1 or any other tracks. Any idea what's causing this? I played with the gain level (volume). No luck. Sonar X3e environment.

Go to the XLN installer and check for updates. Let us know the exact version you are running.

Have you tried bypassing all effects to see if that clears it up?  ('E' on the computer keyboard will toggle effects off/on).  If so, then one or more plugins may be spiking latency/CPU.

    Hi Gang...

Interesting to see this post today... I still tend to use Session Drummer more than AD as I like the kit I have there, but I do use AD on some projects...

Yesterday I was working on one and was disturbed to find noisy samples? I was not pleased with the kick drum and on investigation I saw that the filter was doing heavy low pass... When I opened it up, I found that there is a lot of noise in the decay of the sample... (I think it was the Tama)...

I don't know if this is what magik is hearing, but it's there for sure...

Other than that... It seems ok... Maybe check latency? Try increasing the latency and see if the noise goes away... We've all run into that before...

The crackling is either 2 of these things or both of these things listed below:

    1. Your ASIo or WDM driver setting needs to be adjusted. most likely raised.
    2. You are clipping.

I notice, on occasion, that sometimes you have to reload the pieces. Change them to another piece first then back to the piece you want. Sometimes they don't sound right and doing what I do seems to help. AD 1 did this as well but haven't had the problem in AD2.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.
