Addictive Drums Conundrum, how to drive....

Have owned several old drum machines, and also quite a few keyboards.
Always using their content in the drum arena.
Step forward to now.

Have looked thru the AD manual a bit, at couple of videos.

Simply want the existing Kits inside AD to be triggered by midi.
Starting a trigger to start the drums playing similar to
standalone auditioning of kits/beats.
Hopefully don't have to learn how to do drum mapping.
Am aware that certain notes drive a particular drum part.
Want an entire track with the other midi VSTi tracks to be bounced
into final mix.

Thanks in Advance!

Oh and if you would rather not deal with adding maps at all, go to the "?" in the upper right corner of AD and select "map window".  You can select mapping from there

    dubdisciple,

Was browsing some more after my post, and I think you helped someone else with that
link....  Once I bit the bullet and get into it, will be invaluable.

Also great on the ? will give that a whirl first.
Was spoiled with Addictive Keys, so looking at easy path.

    Thanks for your help!

No problem.  I kind of wish AD did not have such weird mapping, but then i realized that for standalone mode  it probably makes more sense .  What would really be nice to have is a CAL script that could randomly transpose some of the alternate sample hits to other mappings.  Would definitely make for a more natural and expressive performance.
