Mesh I'm not sure how to get it from the XLN site, but you can check within the AD Installer's "Advanced Options" (not sure of the exact phrase) tab and see the file path to where the MIDI files are stored on your HD. Once you find the path, you can just drag/copy/paste them to where you want it.
Tried this and went through every folder...........didn't find any MIDI files.

Sorry about that Mark...... In the past, since I was able to move my EZ drummer Midi files into AD2's 'External Midi' folder, I "assumed" the AD2 Midi files could be extracted the same way. Apparently not... . It's like the roach motel: you can come in, but you can never leave. Have you tried contacting XLN's support on this?

No worries man, it was worth a shot. I'll get in touch with XLN support but if it can't be done it's not a problem. I've got all the files from the MIDIpaks I bought for AD1 and that's more than enough to be playing around with Cheers Mark

Not suggesting that you even asked for alternates, but The Loop Loft has some great MIDI drum packs. All are 40% off at the moment. The bundle that includes all 15 packs is 75% off ($98 v $399). Individual packs list at $29. Here's the bundle page. Links to individual packs are on this page. Note that it takes a bit of time to load because there are Soundcloud links to sample play lists for each pack (avg. 8-10 samples per pack). http://www.thelooploft.co.../midi-drum-loop-bundle Edit: I had every pack except the latest (Long Loops v5) which I picked up. VERY IMPORTANT. If you buy directly from the Loop Loft website AND select PayPal the first chance you get, you are taken DIRECTLY to PayPal without having the opportunity to enter the discount code. Follow the normal (other) link to checkout, filla inna da blanks, and on the next screen, you can enter the code and then select PayPal. Gotta love MIDI loop vs. audio loops. They download SO fast! Edit 2: The bundle now includes all 16 packs. They added the Long Loops v5 to the package! Even better!

I got the LoopLoft "World beats", into AD2's external midi folder, but do I have to remap it to play my xln Djembe, etc? I also have some Platinum Samples stuff, so I'm wondering what all is involved with getting AD2 to play these other vendor midi files. Some of these external midi patterns aren't doing anything, so I assume I'll have to remap them, but am not clear how to do it. Thanks Michael

I just use Toontracks EZ Player Pro. All the maps for drums are right there. Two clicks and done. I do hope they come out with a new version with EZ Drummer2 search features soon.

I have the answer for the Addictive drums midi files...Yay! They did change it on the website, but you can still get the downloads. If you want to use the midi files with other drum software you need to do the following: 1. Log-in to your user account at www.xlnaudio.com 2. Go to this page: http://www.xlnaudio.com/myaccount-myproducts/offline (note the "offline" part of the URL, making it different than the regular My Products page) 3. Scroll to the bottom of the page where it says External Midi Files

I had AD1 (from X3?) and then upgraded to AD2. I see a dozen midi files in my offline account. Of note, when I initially got into the XLN website, I didn't see an offline section and the midi files etc...I then, clicked on Clint's link and now do see them. Elffin, which midi files do you have for AD2?

Mine were bottom left, but no biggie. I added the "/offline" to the URL after I logged into my XLN account. I never had AD1, only AD2. The offline page had download links for each of the 16 MIDIpaks that I own. So, one ZIP file for each MIDIpak. And the files are set up in a file structure that mimics the structure inside AD2, making it easy to find the grooves you want inside of AD2 and then going straight to the files based on folders. Outstanding find! I loved XLN's "Doh" statement: Note: Only download these files if you plan to use your beats with other products than Addictive Drums.
