Addictive Drums and Getting it to Play the Midi in the Project

I have successfully inserted AD into my project. It created all the separate tracks. I dragged the pieces of midi from AD into my project on track 17 which is the midi track. I selected the down arrows on each track in AD.Now I want AD to only play what's in my project but it keeps playing the midi on AD's Beats page. I have searched everywhere for a button or something that tells Ad to play what's in the project and not what's in it's beats page but to no avail. And since I can't find anyone else with the same problem on this forum or XLN's, I'm feeling like the answer will be so obvious that I will be smacking my head when I find out. Any way please please help me. It's driving me nuts.
Thanks
Ann

    Hi Ann
I'm no expert but what I do is go to the beats page and turn everything off around the 'tape player' controls, except sync. Then AD will just play the midi information in your midi track. Good luck and hope that helps

I'm not at my DAW now, but isn't there a button in AD UI with text  "Host",  "Sync" or something similar on the Beats-page??

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

Thank you for the answers. Here's what I've discovered so far.

The sync and tempo buttons don't stop AD from playing it's pattern. It just makes it play with Sonar (sync) and play in the tempo of the project (tempo).

I turned off everything around the Beats page player area but AD still turns on the arrow play light and plays  whatever pattern is currently selected and I've not found a way to deselect a pattern.  However if I hit the arrow after I've already started the project it stops playing and allows Sonar to take over. The problem with that is that it still gets a few beats in before I have a chance to turn it off. In the project there are no drums in the first 4 bars. I've tried removing the pattern from the list in the favorites and deselecting beats and fills in the pattern browser area but I've found no way to remove it from the play button area so it still plays the current pattern from AD whenever I play my project instead of from the midi I have dragged from AD to Sonar.

Other than that I love AD and I think it's going to be a great addition to my recording arsenal. But if I can't get this figured out I won't be able to use it effectively.

    Anyway thanks again!

There is a play button, the  little triangle commonly seen on players , on the beats page. Make sure it is off.

I just turn the player off on the beats page and  drag the clip into the midi track and hit play. I do not have sync or tempo on. It does not turn the beat player on when I hit play on Sonar. Hope this helps!

Yay Teego! You solved it for me. If you were here I would give you a big hug! I can't believe that it wasn't mentioned in any of the documentation. And it is so easy but not obvious at least to me. Thank you again!
