Addictive Drums crashing Sonar Professional - VST Softsynths failing to play
I am running Dell i3, 8GB RAM, 64 bit Win 10. I recently upgraded to Sonar Professional from Sonar X3 and have been having problems with MIDI Soft Synths and Addictive Drums. AD worked in 2 projects, then started to crash my Sonar today. When I re-scan my VSTs, I get a number of Bit Bridge errors. Any ideas or do I need to re-install AD? When I load several VST Soft Synths, they will play, but stop sounding when I add a MIDI clip. I have Z3ta+1 and Z3ta+3 and they work perfectly. Any ideas. Thanking everyone in advance. Kevin

Let's start with the BitBridge errors. Do you have what is spit out? Is it a consistent error message for each failing BitBridge also please. Or is that what you posted?

When you did the VST rescan, did you reset as well? (This is important -- you should always do both). Are you using 64 bit VSTs in 64 bit Sonar? If so, Bit Bridge shouldn't be doing anything. If you already ran reset/rescan, and, given the different types of errors, I would uninstall, reboot, then reinstall Sonar.

I have now done the uninstall, reinstall and the problem with Soft synths not playing MIDI persists. Z3TA soft synths will play MIDI, but all my other soft synths will sound when created, but when I add a MIDI clip they go silent. Thank you in advance.

Kev, I'm having the same issue, but with X3 and Windows 10. I called tech Support and I learned WIN 10 and X3 were not supported and was told to contact XLN (AD supplier), working on that, I'll let you know. My next move was to join the push to the subscription model, which I'm not happy with this model, only to learn that you, a new model subscriber is having the same issue. I'm a long time Twelve-Tone/Cakewalk user since DOS/Commodore 64 daze, and when the issues overcome the inspiration, it gets so frustrating to try to figure it all out, yet alone subscribe to a continued pain. Let me know if you found a fix.

I suggest you describe your specific issue and (to help us help you better) create a signature with your system specs (See mine for an example). You're more than likely to get help from the rest of the forum, then from waiting for a response from one member who may or may not see it. Plus you can't be 100% sure his issue is exactly the same as yours. This is a very experienced and helpful forum. You might as well put your problem out there and see if we can help!
