Addictive Drums... no sound

I am running Sonar 8.5 PE, Win 7 x64 and recently installed Addictive Drums. Like my other vst's I installed to the \vst plug-ins folder. Sonar scanned and recognized AD and when I open it in a project the interface seems to be working. The problem is there is no MIDI traffic and no sound. Unlike DKFH2 there is no options tab on the interface to change MIDI settings.

Does any one know how to properly set up AD in the 8.5/Win7/x64 environment?

Thanks in advance,

Looks like it may be another sample based 32 bit VSTi that does not work with bitbridge. I suggest you download the demo version of JBridge and see if that works.

I don't know much about it, but it says its General MIDI so make sure you have your drum MIDI track set to channel 10. Set the output of the MIDI track to Addictive Drums once you've added it to the synth rack. Did you read the manual that came with AD?

If the problem is it won't work in 64-bit Sonar, run the 32-bit version of Sonar. You can have both installed at the same time.

I can confirm it works in WIndows 7 64 bit pro, and in Sonar 64 bit, as I have it working in my setup.

the first time installed it where I wanted it to go ( on another hard drive) and I had trouble getting it working... I re-installed and let it go to the default position and it was fine...

So it will work in Sonar 64 bit, Windows 7 64 bit, not sure whats wrong on your side, but it does work.

That's probably it! I did redirect the install because with my Waves plug-ins I had to install in the VST plug-ins folder of the cakewalk installation to get them to work. Apparently this is the opposite... I'll try it in the AM.

Thanks for confirming it works in the environment...

I'm not sure what is going on, but this is what I am dealing with. I have AD2 loaded in Sonar Platinum and I have my Yamaha DTX430k ran to my PC VIA USB. I make sure I have any plugins FX ect. turned off at the moment so I have very low Latency and that works for me. I have sound I am Rocking right along with what I am doing. No Latency and with in 10min. I lose sound with my drums. I have to turn off my drums turn back on confirm connection and all is good. Anyone have any Idea why my drums lose connection?

You might try starting a new thread on this as opposed to resurrecting a 5 year old thread.
