Addictive Drums/EZDrummer

Hey,

I have been using the loop library from Cakewalk to produce all my songs to this point but I have a few ideas that I just cant find a beat for. I was wondering about EZDrumer or Addicting Drums or something along those lines.

First, can you use a midi based drum program on GT3?

Second, does anyone have some hands on experience with stuff like this?

Third, if I spend more money on my studio stuff than on my wife, daughter and cats combined will I have to sleep in a van down by the river?

When I was a kid we had to use Portastudios, uphill! both ways!!

Well, GTP3 does not support MIDI for anything other than control surfaces and even then it's limited. As for MIDI drums. I am using EZDrummer with DFH kit addon. But I am using Sonar 7PE for a host system. On another note you can use single hits and pull them into a loop (bounce to clip) in GTP3 and you can build customized drums that way. Also I would suggest looking into Beta Monkey for their loops. They are reasonably priced and well put together.

Man, I should have bought Sonar6 when I could get it on closeout. I may have to ask the wife for funds to upgrade, I hate upgrading!!!

Yeah I just got the upgrade for DFH. Will have to play around with it tonight to see what it's all about other than the new copy protection.
