Addictive Keys - Did anyone buy the full version?
I was just listening to the demos of Addictive Keys on XLN's website - Did anyone buy the full version and if yes, what do you think of it. I like the look of the interface and the demos sound reasonably good to me, but I already have quite a few pianos, so am DESPERATELY searching for a good reason as to why I should treat myself to this! So it looks like No one purchased this - emm, perhaps they should have concentrated on getting the Addictive Drums update done first before trying a different type of product - business strategy 101 - concentrate on your Core Business!!

I hated their online installer. I felt it was, "overly invasive." I demo'd it, and thought, "but my free piano that came with Sonar sounds just as good." True Piano? The one we get an upgrade discount for... Meh, I never use pianos, and I really dislike that XLN installer... So I passed.... However... I like a lot of BT's stuff, and the way he uses piano.. So I could see myself in the market for a piano, and if I really need too, I can just upgrade the true piano bundled with Sonar
too many lasers... Sonar = audio editing ninja of a music software!

I have bought it. And love it. What exactly are you looking for? Well that's a good question! Let me say right off, I have always loved my Addictive Drums - it does need an update without doubt now (especially things like the beats browser which is not good) but at least we have 64 bit compatibility and it still sounds great. When Keys was first announced, I did think it was going to be in some way different to other Piano Libraries and because I like Addictive Drums I assumed it would be "cutting edge" sort of thing - but in the end it didn't appear that it was, so I didn't bother even downloading the small (free?) version. However I do like the look of it - and I expect this is the main reason why I keep looking at it! What I suppose I would really like to know is how does it differ / why is it better than other Piano Libraries etc. I have a few Pianos / Electric Pianos in Kontakt and A superb Piano and EP in Mach five Cheers Nigel

I like the way it feels when playing and I do like sound that goes together. There is a huge way to alter the sound with fx, eq and mic positions so the sound will be able to fit solo compositions as well as in a busy mix. It is currently the most used piano program for me right now. And I have EZ Keys, Piano in Blue, Pianoteq Stage, Imperfect Samples Walnut grand, Sampletekks Black, Emperor and Black Ambience,

I did. I was a beta tester and I fell in love within the first few minutes of using it. I really only use it for the Rhodes but being a beta tester I got a decent discount for it so I jumped on it right away plus I got a free sound pack for Addictive Drums since I own it as well. I will go out on a limb and say of the 40 plug ins I have bought this year Addictive Keys is by far my favorite.

Also if you are on the fence maybe wait it out for Longe Lizard 4 should be out any day now. I have the Lounge Lizard session and for $50 I am debating on upgrading just to see what the new version is all about

I did a video on YouTube about Addictive Keys. Check it out for a little more of a run down of what is going on in the plug in. http://www.youtube.com/wa...amp;feature=plpp_video
