Addictive keys...still on sale...!
I know there was a thread about this a couple of weeks ago...but by now it's buried way down in the forum list. For those that might have missed that thread, Musician's Friend still has Addictive Keys on sale for $29. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/xln-audio-addictive-keys-studio-collection-promo-pak For those wondering about the "promo pak" title.....this is the REAL deal. It includes the Studio Grand, the Yamaha Upright and the Rhodes Mark I. Very well worth the $29.

This is mighty interesting. But I see it's called "Studio Collection Promo Pak" and on XLN's product page it's just called "Studio Collection", is there a difference?

It's the same product that usually sells for $149 (discounted). Anyone remotely interested in a Piano synth should grab this one up.

I assume it's a download ? us jonny foreigners are getting charged shipping / handling = £22 .. on top of the £18.99 did have a word regarding it , in their live chat.. they didn't seem to be overly bothered to get the sale... so I'll use my money elsewhere.. don't mind paying vat/duty.. but I do draw the line at posting charges for virtual products :)

This is a boxed shipment only with free shipping for ground. Foster shipping is an extra charge.

I know in another thread on this, someone suggested shipping it to someone in US and having them send serial. The package itself is nothing but a dvd with videos on it and a serial number. no install files since it is all done online. Seemes silly for me to wait sevarl days to get a number they could have emailed me that day, but can't complain for $29. You should look up that old thread and see if the "shipping to the US" idea worked.

so, if you sent someone $29 via Paypal and they just ordered it and emailed you the serial number, you would still get charged a fee?

I got mine today. It is the full version. They send you a disk, but you will do the install thru download - takes about 20 minutes. I like it; lots of options. It's giving True Pianos a run for the money.

Yeah, for anyone that needs a really nice piano in their sound set this is a real win.
I picked mine up several weeks ago. It's great!
Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

Sorry to say that the sale at MF is no longer at $29. It's now been bumped up to $49. Still a good deal even at that price. The piano sounds are really nice. Glad I got mine when I did.

I too took advantage of the sale and even though I hate the way XLN has its authorization it is a great bargain. Nice sounding and very useful.

I believe its like cakewalk. You need to buy a product from an outside supplier, login to the site and register it. After that you can buy at the site store at a discount. It still doesnt seem right but thats nthe way some companies work. Danny

Just for fun, I checked on the link posted by Ted. The XLN Audio Addictive Keys Studio Collection Promo Pak dvd is no longer available. I am glad I ordered it last week for $29. It arrived today and can't wait to install it. A bargain for the price. Thanks Ted for the original post.

I agree that it's a good value...I found the Rhodes uninteresting, but then I have a real Dyno Stage 73 in my studio and a Nord electro 3HP. The pianos are comparably good to to the Truepiano but they load faster, respond better, and have a fair amount of flexibility in the 'microphone layout' and 'room dynamics' that let you tailor the sound. Was definitely worth the $29, and having played with it and finding a couple of settings that I like, would probably pay $49. Probably not $149 given that I have Truepiano already.
