Adding Dynamics to a Couple of Chord Blasts

had a few open acoustic chord blasts in a psuedo-flamenco song.  I have the levels tight--high but not clipping... it still doesn't punch you in the gut like I want it to...
 
I will take all the suggestions I can get.   My tools are limited to SONAR (ie, not a bunch of waves plug-ins).  Thanks.
