Adding envelope nodes at selection points

Making the transition from SPE5 to X1...

When working with track or clip envelopes in SPE5 I was able to select a portion of an envelope, right-click, and choose "Add nodes at selection" which would put 2 nodes at the beginning and end of the selected section. I loved that. I can't seem to find that option in X1. Please—don't tell me they removed it (if so, "Nooooooooo!").

Also (apparently) missing is the add node context menu item (I know I can double-click to add them, but I found using the context menu was more accurate since I sometimes can't maintain my aim with a double click).

This is why it took me so long to upgrade to X1. I started out with Pro Audio 8 (in '99!) and went PA8 > PA9 > SPE5 > X1, and with each version something I liked and used was eliminated or changed in a way that made it less usable for me.

No but it has been made easier. See about halfway through this video for how to do it.

Thanks.... FBB.  I knew that could be done, but never bothered to look it up since I am normally pretty surgical in my node editing.... but I can see where that would be really handy and could save me a good 10 seconds.

Seriously, I will try that next time I'm in the DAW working.

Hey FBB, thanks so SO much for that. You're right, the new way is better. A lot of other good info in your video too (like SHIFT+right-click to alternate between editing modes and how to drag the entire envelope at once—love it)!

I'm going to take a look at some of your other vids when I get a chance.
