Adding sound forge to the sonar x1 menu

I just added sound forge to the x1 utilities menu, attempting to precisely follow the instructions here: http://www.cakewalk.com/S...reader.aspx/2007013099 Sound forge now shows up on the menu, but it is grayed out, even when I select an audio clip. Any idea what is going on? Did I accidentally type something wrong in regedit? I'll try a reboot and see if that fixes it. Thanks.

When i installed sound forge 10 on my pc, it showed up automatically in the utilities menu and can be opened from there.

I would uninstall and reinstall sound forge and see if that works

I managed to get to the point where it opens up SF, but the audio does not open. Have not been able to figure out how to get it to actually work.

You (cjaysmusic) got an automatic install with sound forge? Anybody else have that happen automatically? Strange. I'll look at the registry again.

Ditto here (Mack). I have pretty much that, except there is a nondeletable (Default) (value not set) up at the top. Sound forge still shows up greyed out on the menu. Geoff

cj probably had version 8 installed earlier. It used to add itself so would be available in the menu. Versions after 9 didn't do it
