Adjusting duration of a few notes

I have a midi track, and I'd like to make a couple of measures in the middle last longer (played them too quickly when recording).  Is there a simple way to achieve this?  I don't want to overwrite the subsequent measures; I just want everything after the measure to slide down by a half second or so, letting me slow down the couple of measures that were played too fast.

Thanks

Insert tempo changes at the beginning and end of the measure you want to change, and adjust the first tempo change to get the timing you want. The second tempo change should match the initial tempo of the project in order for the rest of the project not to be affected by the slower tempo for the one measure.

If you played notes so early that they're in the previous measure, or some notes in the measure are early while the rest are okay, you may need to move events as well as changing the tempo. Hard to say exactly without knowing that you've got.

Looking more closely, I have 3 specific notes in a row that were played too quickly.  Currently they're all in one measure, but if I lengthened each as desired, that would push the last one into the next measure.

This is a solo song - no one else is playing an instrument to match it, and I wasn't using a metronome .  Can I simply select all of the notes in the Piano Roll View that come after my speed problem and drag them down the timeline by a half second or so and then lengthen the individual notes as needed?

    Thanks

Yes, if you don't care what relationship the notes have to the timeline, you can just drag everything later. I've done this to adjust the timing in rubato pieces I've recorded without a click.

But if you played to a click, and want the subsequent measures to maintain their relationship to the M:B:T grid, you'd need to slow that one measure down with tempo changes as described.

Be aware, however, that dragging notes in the PRV can be a little slow and erratic when you have a lot of notes selected.
