Didn't this suite used to cost like a couple grand at one point? 

I'm not exactly a visual artist but I do enjoy making purty things from time to time. I also can't afford to hire people to do layouts for me so it's good stuff to have around. My ancient version of PS is laughable at this point and Gimp... well it's nice... but it ain't PS.

PS Beepster if it's layouts you're interested in then I suggest taking a look at Fireworks instead of PS - I think it's part of the creative suite?

I'm always suspicious of free stuff. I'll contact my friends at adobe to see how legit this is. As far as it being old. As a long time professional user of these products, I can say with certainty that either program for free would be amazing. I know people who STILL use cool edit pro. Most of the changes to audition has been in the candy category. They are great, but take them away and you still have a damn good multi-track recording and editing solution that supports VST plugins. At the very least, it gives a person who does not already have a dedicated audio editor one of the better ones on the market. Same applies to Photoshop. Most of the bread and butter features i use every day in photoshop were introduced years before CS2. If you master curves, adjustment layers and masks, everything else is just fluff (amazing fluff, but still fluff).

Dammit! I really hate the internet sometimes. :-(

I think the thing i dislike most about Adobe is they are very quick to change their upgrade terms. If you snooze and skip an upgrade cycle they have been known to suddenly make your old version no longer eligible.
