Advice for Sonar Platinum user with new laptop to install onto

Hi Friends!
Since the demise of Cakewalk/Gibson I've stuck with Sonar Platinum and not changed a thing.  However, now I have a new laptop about to arrive and everything needs to be reinstalled and I'd like to get your advice please?
  1. Is now the time to move to Cakewalk by Bandlab?
  2. Has the product been improved?
  3. Are there any risks involved?
  4. Should I download the Cakewalk Command Center to get all of my old Cakewalk extras (Z3ta+ 2.2, Melodyne Essential, etc.)?
Basically, I'm not up to date with everything that's happened since Gibson dropped Sonar and I'd like to understand the best way forward and the actual steps I need to take.

Many thanks,
Simon
