Adx-90

I purchased one of these on a whim.. put it on my snare and hit it a few times and listened back to it.. I immediatlly sent it back to MF for a return thinking it was bad. Got the new one today and it's the same. Is it me or is this thing busting up? It's made for drums so I assume it should handle the SPLs. Also the wav form looks strange.. it's not even.. the top side of the form out weighs the bottom side. Not sure what that's about. Here's the clip I recorded with it to test it;

I'm curious to hear what others think.. maybe it's just me. I'm used to a 57 on the snare. I uploaded a take on a sm57 to compare.

Both these are 24 bit wav files..

    The 57 definitley sounds better. I don't know anything about the ADX, but it sounds to me as if it is something I don't want.
