After months of pulling out my hair...

And endless crashes, forced re-boots, midi driver hangs, and finally unable to achieve a stable SPDIF sync with my Roland Quad Capture, I finally gave up. I bought a NI Komplete 6 interface. I'm kicking myself for not trying this sooner. It has every input that the Quad did with none of the nightmares. Just thought I'd pass this along if anyone is having similar problems.

What is a NI in Komplete 6 interface? Secondarily, I'm losing faith in CW - thinking of abandoning them. Software is not intuitive - finding answers to questions is slow & awkward.

It made my system run so much smoother. As far as your problems, I have found this forum to be a great resource, also youtube has many instructional videos. Good luck.

Can you clarify?  I've used a ton of DAWs and except maybe for Tracktion (which has its own approach) they all work pretty much the same way.  What are you trying to accomplish?

Moving SONAR Home Studio 6 from old obsolete computer to new computer. Granted my "old" Sonar product is no longer supported, but CW has DEactivated it in MYACCOUNT. I get no response to reactivating it again. I'm very close to filing a complaint with Division of Consumer Protection. I have other products in MYACCOUNT purchased in 2007 that are still available to me (Studio Instruments & MP3 encoder) but not my SONAR Home Studio 6.  So . . . .  I took the plunge and purchased SONAR Artist and struggling to synchronize it. Most of the CWP will play but I persistently get "multisample not found" - "missing plug-in" - "Auto send SYSX" errors. The project WILL play when I bypass them but these errors return after project is 'saved'. Shouldn't "Artist's" Studio Instrument Suite succeed the older Studio Instruments? I follow instructions to ensure VST paths exist and DO find the two common ones ARE visible. Bless your heart, JonD for listening, it's therapeutic.

For your Sysx errors ensure that you have either embedded in your project or that your project is looking in the right place.  Sysx messages are now located in the following sub directory

    C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\SONAR Artist\Sysx Files

Historically they were located in the Programs directory prior to Vista and above.

There is a possibility that the newer version of the studio instruments have a different ID or are installed in a different location and/or there data files are located in a different location with SONAR Artist.

I'm not trying to throw you under the bus or anything here, but I just took a look at your account and I see SONAR Home Studio 6 listed here... Can you check again and confirm?

EDIT: My apologies - I understand what you mean now: that there is not a download available for the product. The product in question is quite old... Much of our legacy software did not have downloads and instead came on discs. In the past, we created a disk image library for legacy products. I can't make any promises, but we may have one for SONAR Home Studio 6 that I can dig up for you, if you like... All that said, I'm fairly certain that software is too old... erm, legacy... to work properly on whatever modern system you are running now.

There are programs still missing from my account as well... remembering back to 2015 when CW had to fix many accounts and re set them manually. It happens... Not a big issue CW will help you get it right.

    Hay look,
