Akai MPD32, who has one?

So I've been thinking about purchasing the Akai MPD32 to use with my Superior Drummer 2.0 software. Up until now I've just been using my MIDI keyboard and as you know this can get real old real quick.

I was wondering who actually has one and what you think about it?

In the beginning I was going to buy the M-Audio trigger finger but since I've never really liked that company I decided pass. So far the Akai MPD32 seems to have everything I need and I have one last question for you:

My MIDI keyboard doesn't have a pitch or mod wheel. Would it then be possible to assign one of the knobs on the MPD32 to actually control the pitch/mod wheel feature in some of the Sonar 7 synths?

And, would I be able to connect the MPD32 to my keyboard via MIDI in/out and then while pressing the keys on my keyboard be able to also use the knob assigned to the pitch/mod wheel on the MPD32?

^ See that would be cool and I've seriously considered purchasing this but......I really don't know about purchasing such a small keyboard. I'm a pianist and prefer atleast 61 keys. I'd have to bother too much with the octave and transpose settings in order to be comfortable with this and that's more work than I'd like to employ. Thanks for the recommendation bro : )

I had an Akai MPD 16 and always had USB driver issues. I finally used the midi out instead and things went a lot better. I wouldn't buy the M-Audio product either for fear that they use the same velocity pads as they do on their Axiom keyboards. I have three dead pads and I have barely ever used them.

Dave Modisette ... rocks a Purrrfect Audio Studio Pro rig.
