Albion One.... The Daniel James & Dirk Ehlert journy's into nirvana...have arrived
Albion One is a truly magnificent creation...and if you haven't considered it yet, these are the vids for you. Even if you have it, it's a blast... What you can do with Albion One will, well it's kinda like...do you want your mind blown? I'm kinda weird but I've always found Daniel's reveals better than going to the movies.... 1 hour 36 minutes of Daniel creating an unbelievable piece of music.... with all the wit, inspiration and teaching you could ever ask for....Dirk's composition is absolutely beautiful... he's a full on composer and really shows off the percussion and many other elements in his own more concise fashion I've been waiting for Daniel's vid... he'd promised... and doesn't disappoint! I was amazed to find Dirk's vid automatically played afterwards and he also digs into the "ONE" with a quite stunningly beautiful composition and briefer 38 minute discussion.... all totalled, a full movie's time worth of Albion One. Laugh, learn and blast off with Daniel, the drama queen... and then let Dirk help you fall in love...

Nice! I'm thinking of buying either Albion One or EW Symphonic Orchestra Platinum at the BF sale. Is the kontakt player smooth working with Sonar? I don't have full Kontakt. The EW Play is not so good I've heard.

Thanks for posting this message and the background intro. I happen to have a holiday weekend coming up. I can afford the time to take this in.
Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

Both EW Play and Kontakt work fine in Sonar. I use them daily. In the past Play was considered slow, but I think that's history. Play also loads HUGE sample libraries, so the "slow" is directly correlated to the amount of data being loaded. I wrote about installing Play and EWQL HO/Diamond a while ago. If it's of value, I can re-post here. It's on EWQL's forums. I remain impressed, or more accurately, as I'm learning to how operate Play and the HO instruments, I'm getting more and more impressed with the quality of the EW instruments.
