Album in the works

I'm working on a new album, my first full-length(many years in the making). I feel a little hesitant to just plug the project, but I didn't know what other forum to post it in. I'd love any feedback you have; the video is pretty weak, I already figured that out ;)

Well, your right, the video is weak, but that is O.K. because the music is great and the video can be reworked at anytime. Nice clear recording on guitar and vocals and sounded just fine. Keep at it and get some more footage for the video. It seem your looking for donations from backers for your project. Good luck and hope everything goes well. Keep us informed, you have a great start on your adventure.

Peace be with you. Blessings, John

Thanks, John. I am indeed looking for backers, and I've gotten some attention already, so I'm hopeful. It's a cool site, Kickstarter, because it basically allows an artist to get pre-orders for a project, meaning they can pay for things like professional mastering, software/hardware upgrades, and so on and put out a better album, sooner, than if they had to save up the money ahead of time to pay out of pocket.

I wanted to update this thread. I'll say again that I wish there was a place where it seemed like this sort of thing would be more at home, but I don't know what that would be. All the audio WAS done with SONAR X1/X2, as will the rest of the album.

I've got the tracks pinned down now, and I'm working on recording them. All the songs are done, but I now have better hardware(Focusrite) and software(SONAR X2 Producer) than I've ever had before. What I don't have is the experience and dedicated tools to do a good job with mastering, and(as you might expect) no ability to realistically mass produce it. To that end, I started the above linked Kickstarter campaign. There's only a week left, which means there's a week to hit my goal or I'm back to square one, and even the people who've already backed the project are canceled out of the system. I don't get the funds to put out the album, and they don't get the music they were hoping for. I have to look for other ways to raise the money, and recoup what I've already spent trying to get the word out.

I know times are tough, I'm between jobs myself, so maybe you can't spare any money. Maybe the music I play isn't your style, and I totally understand that, too. I'm just asking for a moment of your time to give it a look and listen, and to tell your friends about it, especially if it seems like something they'd like.

    Thank you
