Those spectral effects sure sound nice. Should have been Windows too, though.

I really need to take a couple of days to get up to speed w/ Alchemy. I was a huge fan of Alchemy player and bought a couple of libraries for it, but never really dug deeper than that, basically just messing with the morphing pads. Taming that beast is a huge step up from using the player.

There's no software out there that would make me switch to Mac. Well maybe a MS OS might do it.....

Well, there's actually no need to "switch" to Mac. One can always run a MacBook or a Mac Mini besides his PC rig/main DAW and use it as one would an outboard synth/sampler/external rack processor.

True. Personally I'm a Mac man (and have been for almost 30 years) but you could add that Mac Mini to your PC rig and enjoy almost 50 GB of Logic stuff, including Alchemy. Heck, even Apple's MainStage can get you all of this for only $29. That being said, I still think Apple should have allowed PC users to access the new Alchemy.

The most I ever forked out for a DAW was Garage Band. The iPad came with it.

I think Mac Daddy might be more accurate.

And MIDI out from PC to Mac, so that MIDI data in Sonar triggers Alchemy or any other Virtual Instrument. Unless you simply want to play it with your controller and record the audio output of the synth.

Check out the series of Dan Worrall's Alchemy videos on youtube. Fantastic, head-spinning stuff. ...bah, all but two of which seem to have now vanished from youtube?! Yup: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6345145 Links to the series used to be up here: http://theaudiospotlight.com/camel-audio-alchemy-tutorials-with-dan-worrall/ but the videos simply no longer exist. wtf, Apple?!?! :-( I have them all, in a lower resolution unfortunately, as stand-alone videos (IIRC I grabbed from the former camel audio site). I could possibly make them available on my box/dropbox account if anybody's interested?
