Aleppo
The dark mood I entered into in the latter half of 2016 has proved productive. This is the second track drawing on that energy, there a couple more in the pipeline. The siege of Aleppo was horrific by any standards. I have some fond memories of the time I was in Syria and its devastating to see what has happened there. https://soundcloud.com/goldrybluszco/aleppo The voices are from EastWest's "Voices of Passion" Guitars OTS Dracus and EastWest Ministry of Rock II Gibson. Bass - OTS Rick Drums - Superior Drumer. Percussion - Storm Drum Organ - Sampletekk Drawbar.

wow - this is epic. The mix between traditional instruments/sounds and synth are really cool - love the big percussive sounds

Wow!!!! This is not the kind of music that I am drawn to but I must admit that this one sucked me right in. It has a wonderful big-sky, cinematic sound to it. It doesn't have lyrics to it but it certainly creates a mood. Well done --- very creative.

That's cool stuff Glyn, very powerful. Really like that Storm Drum and the Emerson-like organ.

I am hearing Fripp, Bruford, Emerson which is all good in my book. Cool stuff Glyn
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain. Karma has a way of finding its own way home.

That's very creative. I can hear the boots marching. Any altiverb going on? That overdriven organ is pretty tasty. Mix wise, I think the higher end could shine a little more, eq-wise. Just a little, maybe bring the snare up a little louder? cheers, -Tom

This is one of the best things I've heard in a while. It's haunting and thought provoking and gives one a sense of impending doom. This should be used in a documentary and given an Oscar!

I've not been checking out the songs forum as much lately and I "stumbled" across this while listening to Wookiee's new tune. You certainly have a knack capturing some of that old prog vibe. cheers andy

Yeah, that was pretty cool... the juxtaposition of rock guitar/organ/drums with the more "world" feel of the vocals and percussion works well. At times it almost seemed to have a Middle Eastern version of a Native American war chant vibe.
