Alesis IO14 recording simultaneous inputs

Hey, I'm a bit of a newbie so bear with me. 

I've got Music Creator and using the Alesis io14 which usually works fine. However I only record one thing at a time so its always using input 1. 

Tried to record 3 inputs at once, but can't get Music Creator to recognise inputs 3 or 4. 

The Alesis control panel software sees all the inputs so they're definitely there, and the firewire is working correctly - any ideas how I can get Music Creator to see all four inputs?

    MC only allows recording to TWO inputs at a time. regardless of the number of outputs on the sound card you are using.

    You would need to get one of the "bigger" DAW's to record more inputs at the same time.

    yep.  as a minimum you'd have to upgrade to Sonar X1 Essentials.  you can download the upgrade for $79 or add the boxed version for $30 more.
