    Here, here!

I only have one issue. I already know what "X" is, so how do I un-learn it?

Frankly I'm puzzled by all the Xcitement over this.  To me this is just a tawdry Xhibition of Algebraic Xuberance run wild.  Xcept for that Xceptionaly wonderful right triangle "fail" above this whole Fred has been nothing but an Xercise in Xacerbation which has left me Xasperated and...yes...veXed in the Xtreme.  Please Xclude me from further postings of such...dare I say it?...Xcrement.

Please forgive me if I seem a bit Xorcised by all this but it's been a hard day and I'm totally Xhausted.

Well since most stereo is recorded with an x y pair...and x is self evidently unknown...we are left with y.  Which is, again, self evidently mono.  Does that answer your question?

    +1

Or is it .    X + 0 = 1  what does x equal in this equation ....or as my high school algebra book used to say ...find x

In all honesty, I don’t give a crap about x and the underlying constant human obsession to find a solution for it.  I just want to live in a world where a chicken can cross a road without the scientific community placing electrodes on it brain to determine its motives.
