Alice In Chains - "Brother" solo acoustic cover (live video)

since i'm usually guilty of huge overproduced studio opuses lol / for fun I recorded an impromptu live Alice In Chains cover kinda as 'MRI unplugged' ;p so to speak. raw. no mic. no FX. no edits, no production. one take i'm even tuning up my guitar at first. iPhone recording. it's hard to choose which harmony to follow when doing it solo so basically did (close) to the top/Layne's harmony {on the MTV unplugged version} this is actually one of my fav AIC songs of all time. the SAP version is cool but they were more seasoned musicians by the time they did MTV Unplugged Sessions, albeit also the time of Layne's demise. It's a great version, the unplugged one...

    Great performance Daren

Just finished watching your "unplugged" Combination... I don't care much for Aerosmith, so this is the first time I've gone out of my way to listen to one of their songs LOL

I've checked out your SoundCloud page too... Nice

    cheers

The true mark of a well written song is when it sounds great in the simplest format...one voice or one voice and one instrument.
You really captured the AIC vibe with this performance! Great vocals and great emotion!
    Well done!

Daren, it is fun to see you actually play and sing.  This is one song where I don't need to tell you to turn the vocals up. lol  Will there be more videos in the future?  I hope so.

Nice!    Raw, of course, but there's no "lying" in a performance like this.    Love the little lick at the end.

A nice change from your normal stuff.  It's one of those performances that gets better as the song goes on.  This is an enjoyable performance, Daren!  The ending rif was heavy.
